Amazon refund pending or missing?

If you've returned an Amazon item or Amazon says a refund was issued, use this checklist to establish what happened next.

What to do

  1. Find the order and refund status in your Amazon account.
  2. Save the return tracking/delivery confirmation.
  3. Check the original payment method and statement.
  4. Ask Amazon for the refund date and reference if the money is not visible.
  5. If unresolved, consider the payment-provider route that applies to your payment method.
